POSTECH Institute of Culture and Language, PICL
우리 언어문화원은 단순한 언어 교육 기관을 넘어, 언어와 문화를 융합하여 진정한 글로벌 시민을 양성하는 공간입니다. “언어 없이는 문화가 존재할 수 없고, 문화 없이는 언어 또한 존재할 수 없다.”는 철학을 바탕으로, 포스텍 구성원들이 세계와 소통하고 미래를 주도할 수 있도록 지원하고자 합니다.
이를 실현하기 위해 PICL은 세 가지 핵심 가치와 목표를 설정하였습니다.

이러한 가치를 바탕으로, 언어문화원은 영어 교육 (EFL), 한국어 교육 (KFL), 문화 프로그램을 통합적으로 운영하며, 학부생과 대학원생, 연구자, 교수진은 물론 지역 사회 내 외국인까지 아우르는 폭넓고 맞춤형 지원을 제공합니다.
- 100% 영어 강의 운영 및 맞춤형 영어 교육을 통해 글로벌 연구 환경을 조성합니다.
- 정규 및 실용 한국어 교육을 통해 외국인 구성원의 한국 사회 적응을 지원합니다.

PICL is not just a language education center; it is a place where language and culture converge to nurture true global citizens. Based on the core belief that "Without language, there is no culture, and without culture, there is no language," we are dedicated to supporting POSTECH members in communicating with the world and leading the future.
At PICL, we have established three fundamental principles to achieve our vision:

Strengthening students' ability to express their knowledge in science and engineering on a global scale.

Helping international students adapt to life in Korea and achieve academic success.

To realize these goals, PICL operates English as a Foreign Language (EFL), Korean as a Foreign Language (KFL), and cultural programs, providing tailored support for undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, faculty, and even foreign residents in the local community.
